The great thing about fall is the floating leaves and on windy days it's the sailing leaves. Mini regatta going on. Our new westie puppy, Sir Salty has to race them and when winded he goes to a slower sport of gathering pine cones. Oh and branches are something he stockpiles, too! When you pull out weeds he grabs those and runs with them after a few growling shakes.
Sir Salty's other great talents are that he can bring a soccer ball back up the hill with his nose! And none too slow about doing it.
Another fine thing about autumn is that all the shrubs and perennials go on sale!
