First Day of School-Teary Moms

Today I saw quite a few mother's who were teary-eyed. One such mother was sending off her youngest to school and the office ladies were giving her hugs to help her. While waiting for the kids to come out after school another mother was telling how she was fine until they took her son's hand and led him inside. Then she said she felt like she couldn't breathe. "I felt sick to my stomach all day," she told a group of other anxious mom's who were all watching the door thinking, "Where is my child?"

Now quite a few dad's took the day off to witness the event, too. I didn't see any tears just dad's standing tall... and chests out, proud as can be. They were high fiving after school and then going off to eat treats with their new students who were going to be the brightest and the best!

A number of older kids gave their previous-year teacher a hug as they passed them. The teachers were happy to see them all well, and back at school.

What a beautiful sight.
