The Magical Whites of Winter
We've hardly had any Canada geese this winter. Granted most decide to go to the Carolinas for the winter and sunbathe a bit near the ocean. Yesterday was different. We had a field full of them and the silence that fresh fallen snow brings was lost while they all honked a hello and nice to know you to me. I think they are gorgeous, elegant and right up there next to swans for beauty and grace.

My father spent years correcting people who said canadian geese."Actually they are Canada geese"
This shot today stopped me cold, partly because your usage was correct and because my father, the smartest and kindest and wisest man I will ever know passed away 11 years ago today.
The geese post was such a gentle reminder of his humor and his wit.
Thank you
